The Department of Civil Engineering, BUET heartily welcomed the Level-1 Term-1 students by arranging an orientation ceremony on Monday, 6th May 2019. Honorable Dean, Faculty of Civil Engineering; Head, Department of Civil Engineering and other respected faculties of the department were present in the orientation ceremony. The students were introduced about the rules and regulations of the course system, laboratory and other facilities of the department. They were also informed about the leading contributions of faculties and graduates of the department for the development of the civil infrastructures all around the country and abroad. Some senior teachers encouraged the newcomers by sharing their valuable thoughts.
Some of the students were also given opportunity to express their feelings about their dream regarding BUET. Finally, the students visited the laboratory facilities of the department under the guidance of the teachers.
