Dr. Mohammad Al Amin Siddique
Professor
DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
Specialization: Structural Engineering
Dr. Mohammad Al Amin Siddique is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where he has been a faculty member since 2002. He completed his Ph.D. in Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2012 from The University of Western Ontario, London, ON, Canada. His Ph.D. research focused on enhancing the local buckling behavior of steel structures retrofitted with bonded GFRP plates. He completed his B. Sc. in Civil Engineering and M. Sc. in Civil & Structural Engineering from BUET in 2002 and 2005, respectively. His research interests include structural engineering, earthquake engineering, seismic vulnerability, high-rise buildings, bridges, cement & cementing materials, concrete properties & durability, recycled materials, retrofitting, cyclic performance of bonded joints, self-compacting concrete, and high-performance concrete. He has published in these fields and serves as a reviewer for various international journals. He is a Life Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and Life Member of the Bangladesh Earthquake Society (BES).
