The journey was started at 8:30 am in the morning. After reaching the station, students were welcomed by Bangladesh Railway authority. They gave brief instructions and divided the students into six groups and each group was led by an engineer from Bangladesh Railway and a teacher from BUET. Students visited different places like downyard, upyard, Locoshed, Diesel workshop and Sick lines. The purpose and mechanism of those were explained and queries of the students were answered by the engineer from Bangladesh Railway. Students were also taken to the signal cabin where station master demonstrated the students how the signaling works. It took almost four and half hour to visit all these places and after that, students returned back to BUET.
